🧑🎓 Student Visa (Subclass 500)
The Student Visa Subclass 500 is designed for international students who wish to study or pursue further education in Australia legally. This visa can be applied for both inside Australia (Onshore Students) and outside Australia (Offshore Students). The Student Visa allows students to register for studies for a maximum duration of 5 years. One of the advantages of the Student Visa is that international students holding this visa can work part-time for up to 48 hours per 2 weeks.
Important Note: Study should be the first priority for Students holding a Student Visa. If they frequently miss classes, it could negatively affect their visa status.
📚 Courses Offered
Australia offers a wide range of courses for international students, including:
🔸 English Language Courses: These courses focus on developing all four language skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing. There are various types of English courses available based on students’ needs, such as General English, Academic English, Business English, or IELTS Preparation.
🔸 Vocational Courses: These courses teach professional skills in various fields, aiming to enhance skills for future career prospects. Australia offers a diverse range of vocational courses across different industries, such as business, services, or trades. For example, Diploma in Project Management.
🔸 Degree Programs: Australia provides international students with opportunities to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate (master’s), and doctoral (PhD) degrees at leading universities worldwide. The country is home to many prestigious universities, including those in the Group of Eight, such as the University of Melbourne, Monash University, University of Sydney, and University of New South Wales.

❌ The Risk of Visa Rejection
Certainly, there is a risk of visa rejection; there is no way to guarantee a visa with 100%. Even if it’s a student visa application, Immigration will assess the applicant’s visa information based on the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE).
Therefore, GTE documents are crucial, serving as a pathway to increase the chance of studying in Australia. Let’s explore what Immigration considers for visa approval:
🔸 Applicant’s qualifications
🔸 Intent and purpose of studying abroad
🔸 Choice of courses and educational institutions
🔸 Age and current employment status
🔸 Future plans after completing studies
🔸 Clear reasons for returning to the home country after studies
However, there’s no need to worry, as NAICE has a dedicated team providing consultation, study planning services, and risk assessment for each individual case. This is to enhance the opportunities for all of you to pursue further studies and lead a life in Australia with confidence.
