Vivid Sydney
The Vivid, in Sydney, is an annual festival of lights, music, and ideas. It includes outdoor immersive light installations, projections, and performances by local and international musicians. This event takes place over the course of three weeks in May and June. The centrepiece of Vivid Sydney is the light sculptures, interactive multimedia works and building projections that illuminates various buildings and landmarks, such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Sculptures by the sea
Hosted in Sydney and Perth each year, Sculpture by the Sea is the largest outdoor sculpture display in Australia. The sculptures at this show, which started in 1997 at Bondi Beach, are created by both Australian and international artists. This exhibition runs for three weeks from late October to early November at Bondi Beach and Cottesloe Beach throughout spring in Australia.
Sydney New Years’ Eve
There is an annual display of fireworks on New Year’s Eve in Sydney, Australia. There are currently two fireworks displays at the event, with the “Family Fireworks” display taking place in the evening at 9:00 p.m. AEST, with the major “Midnight Fireworks” show beginning at midnight. In addition to neighbouring landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, fireworks are also launched from barges in Port Jackson. The Sydney Harbour Bridge acts as the primary focal point of the show through lighting and pyrotechnic effects.
Adelaide Festival of Arts
An annual arts event usually referred to as the Adelaide Festival, is held in March in the capital of South Australia. It is an important cultural event in Australia and a notable festival of the arts that was first held in 1960. The event is primarily located around the city’s core and its parks, while some venues, such as the Odeon Theatre in Norwood, are occasionally found outside of the immediate area.
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
This is a festival in Sydney, New South Wales, which is attended by hundreds of thousands of people from Australia and throughout the world. Mardi Gras is the largest Pride celebration in Oceania and one of the world’s largest such events. It includes events like the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade and Party, Bondi Beach Drag Races, Harbour Party, the academic debate panel Queer Thinking, the Mardi Gras Film Festival, and Fair Day, which draws 70,000 people to Victoria Park in Sydney.
Byron Bay Blues Festival
The East Coast International Blues & Roots Music Festival, formerly known as the East Coast International Blues & Roots Music Festival, is an annual Australian music festival held over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay, New South Wales, since 1990. The event, which is one of the world’s major contemporary music festivals, showcases a huge selection of blues and roots performers from Australia and around the world.
Perth International Arts Festival
Perth International Arts Celebration (PIAF), often known as the Festival of Perth, is Australia’s oldest cultural festival, held annually in Western Australia. Contemporary and classical music, dance, theatre, performance, literature and ideas, visual arts, and large-scale public works are all part of the program. The festival’s major events take place from February to March each year, and the film festival, now called as Lotterywest Films, runs from November to April as part of the Perth Festival.
